We are an FRC funded under TUSLA?s National Family Resource Centre
Programme. We have a purpose built premises from which we run a range
of services under community development principles. Our objective is
to give practical and professional support to bring hope to
individuals, families and the community. Our centre houses a community
childcare facility. School St Youth Project is our dedicated
after-schools programme.
AFTER SCHOOL / YOUTH PROJECT MANAGER
We are looking for an After School Manager / Youth Project leader

JOB ROLE:
* This is a stand-alone role of full responsibility and
accountability for the management our Family Resource Centre?s
After-school/ Youth Project. To developing programmes and responses
with young people aged **Apply on the website** to**Apply on the
website** years in evenings and after school hours and two evenings
per week.
* Increasing the level of youth participation within the Project
* To ensure the project is fully compliant with the relevant
standards.
* To manage and supervise the staff team.
* To participate in and oversee Meitheal meetings
* To link with the broader work of the Family Resource Centre
OVERALL DUTIES:
This is not a definitive list and the duties will be discussed in
further detail at the interview stage. Generally duties include:
* To ensure the ongoing successful management of the after school is
maintained.
* To ensure that the after school operates at full capacity
* To have a sound knowledge and understanding of various funding
schemes
* To ensure that all practice is child-centred and responsive to the
individual needs of children
* To take day to day responsibility for children & staff
* To ensure high standards of practice care at the centre
* To act as the Designated Child Protection Liaison Person in the
after school
* To build relationships with parents and ensure all colleagues
engage and communicate with parents
* To operate two evening sessions per week with older teenagers.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates who do not meet the requirements listed below will not be
considered.
* Candidates?MUST?hold a minimum of Fetac Level 6 (or recognised
equivalent) in a Youthwork qualification.
* Candidates?MUST?have a minimum of 2 years experience in a
supervisory Youthwork role.
* Candidate details will be submitted for Garda vetting.
* Candidates must provide qualifications and 2 written references at
interview stage.
* Candidates who have lived outside of the jurisdiction for 6+
months must provide international police vetting.
